his is a beautiful and varied walk in the Anaga Mountains to the cave dwellers village of Chinamada. The route passes initially through laurel forest, this is followed by spectacular views of the neighbouring mountain ridges. The village of Chinamada is a delightful place of cave houses nestled on a ridge surrounded by cultivated fields. The nearby Mirador Aguaide (viewpoint) gives fantastic views down to the northern coastal towns of Punta del Hidalgo and Bajamar. The return route initially follows a country lane back to the village of Las Carboneras before heading back into the hills and returning via the outward route through the forest.
