It should be noted that Tenerife is a very steep island and most walks contain some periods of uphill walking. The terrain is often rough and rocky underfoot and you will be in mountainous terrain for long periods. Please read the general description of the walk you are interested in to see if you think it would suit your abilities. There are also details of distance, time & ascent/descent to help you, along with average time spent walking uphill. Pay particular attention to the ascent/descent information as this can be vital to the enjoyment of the walk. Times given are based on average fitness and assume a certain amount of hillwalking experience. Break times are not included. If in doubt, choose a route that you know is well within your capabilities rather than one that stretches you beyond your comfort zone. Walks are scheduled according to bookings so, while it may not be possible to book the exact route you are interested in, you may be able to join a similar one that is already scheduled.
